Privacy Policy
What Skillhearth collects, how it is used, and the control you have over it.
This is a starting template written by the operator of this app. Review and adapt it to your own practices and local law before publishing.
1. Information we collect
Account details you provide when signing up, such as your email address and the profile information you choose to add (name, bio, location, avatar).
Content you create in the app: skills you offer or want, posts and images, comments, swap requests, session details, chat messages, reviews, follows, connections, and reports.
Basic technical information needed to operate the service, such as authentication tokens and timestamps of your activity.
2. How we use it
To run the platform: showing your profile and skills to other members, matching swaps, delivering messages, scheduling sessions, and sending in-app notifications.
To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing blocks, and acting on breaches of the Terms of Service.
To maintain and improve the service, including fixing errors and understanding how features are used.
3. What other members can see
Your profile, the skills you list, your posts and comments, your reviews, and your follower and connection counts are visible to other members and, where a page is public, to visitors.
Private messages are visible only to you and the member you are swapping with. Reports you submit are not shown to the member you reported.
4. Sharing with others
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared with the infrastructure providers that host the app's database, authentication, and file storage so the service can run, and where we are required to by law.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored with our hosting provider and access is restricted by per-user access rules so members can only read the data they are entitled to. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete your posts and profile details at any time, and you can request deletion of your account, after which your personal data is removed except where we must retain it for legal reasons.
7. Your choices
You control what appears on your profile, who you follow and connect with, and who you block. Notification preferences and blocked members can be managed in Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data, such as access, correction, or erasure. Contact the operator of this app to exercise them.
8. Children
Skillhearth is not intended for children. Accounts should only be created by people old enough to agree to the Terms of Service in their country.
9. Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we will announce it in the app. Questions about privacy can be sent to the contact address listed by the operator of this Skillhearth instance.
